About Us:
Elevate Island is a holistic smoke shop which will be offering a curated selection of cannabis accessories, plant-based wellness products.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Budtender to join our team. You’ll be the front-line guide for guests exploring our offerings, helping them find the right products to elevate their experience. You’ll also help maintain a positive, safe, and sacred space for all.
Requirements:
- Passion for plant medicine, wellness, and alternative social culture
- Friendly, reliable, and committed to creating a safe and respectful environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Alcohol-free lifestyle preferred
- Previous cannabis retail experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Greet and educate guests on our products, from herbal blends to cannabis accessories
- Provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs and preferences
- Operate the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain knowledge of cannabinoids, terpenes, consumption methods, and safe use practices
- Keep displays clean, stocked, and visually engaging
- Uphold all store policies, compliance standards, and ID-checking protocols
- Collaborate with other team members
Must Have
- Knowledge of local cannabis laws and the Virgin Islands cannabis program
- Passion for plant products
- Fluent English
- Current USVI Health Card
- Highly creative and autonomous
- Strong analytical skills
- Valid work permit for USA
- Required Educational training via OCR
- Local and Federal Background check
Nice to have
- METRC certified
- Additional languages
- Familiarity with kava, kratom, or non-alcoholic cocktails
- Interest in yoga, meditation, or holistic healing practices
